Rain, rain, go away, come again NEVER!

I live in New York, right? Right. It's now January, right? Right. Generally what is considered the coldest month of the year here, right? Right. And what is the temperature outside? Thirty six degrees Fahrenheit. THIRTY FREAKING SIX! It should be somewhere around twenty! But as if the past week of high forties weren't enough, it's been raining for three days. Raining. We didn't have a white Christmas, we had a grey one. And today, when I saw the temperature dropping, I was filled with hope. Only to have it smothered be the cruel truth of reality: life sucks. Four more degrees, and we could have at least had some slush. Maybe even some actual snow. Of course, that would mean New York didn't suck. And we certainly can't have that.
